Ode to Running

I've started my running up again and am feeling like a human instead of a mothering/cleaning/feeding machine. I run purely to deal with my emotions (I know, such a girl thing to say) but, if I ran to get into shape or lose extra baby weight, I would never do it. It would become too hard and daunting. If I could I'd love to run outside everyday by myself in the morning like my sister-in-law Angie. She gets up at 4 or 5 and runs because she has 5 kids and no other time. As for myself, morning runs sound impossible! I go when at least one of my kids are asleep downstairs on our boring, monotonous, treadmill. It does the trick. I've been doing that since my first babe was in the womb. Occasionally I've been able to run outside, but to be sure I get a run in I have to go on the treadmill. Tony is the one who really got me into the stuff when we first dated. Some of our best memories are of our runs together. My life feels easier when I run. Running is one of the things I am and have become and I hope I never stop!

Megan, I love to run, but am completely immobile at this point, I sure hope the day will come back when I can relax and go for a morning run. Also Isn't it funny I totally remember you and Tony going running when you were dating and we all lived in Snow, he he! My how things change....

Yay, good for you Megan. Exercise is great for the emotions and for the feeling like there's more to you than the day to day jobs of caring for 2 sweet babes. We are looking forward to the next fun run. Matt is at the gym right now. :)

I know how you feel, truly. I think it's a Linde "gene". We've got to have exercise just to deal with ourselves and life!! Yeah for treadmills, definetly a cheaper way to do it!!

Megs,
That is so awesome that you keep up your running! That's probably why you take off baby weight so fast! Also... I have been meaning to call you. We got a thing for you in the mail to renew your license. Do you need it? Love ya

Okay, you're amazing. Matt and I ran the St. George Marathon 4 years ago, and I haven't run since it was so scarring. Good for you dude... you are quite impressive.
