To my dear Lainey,

You have made me a better momma because you really try my patience. I've never had to really work on patience until you came along. From your sweet baby stages of fussing and not sleeping (bouncing you on the exercise ball until you were, oh, 14 months) to your toddler years of getting into everything and making huge messes. I know there are many, many more years to come of your mayhem, so I'm glad you are preparing me now. If not for that sweet face of yours, your adorable and funny personality, and the abounding love I feel for you, who knows if I'd have made it.

Love forever, your momma

She has a 6th sense for lotion, finds it and squeezes it out everywhere!

Potty training is interesting. Occasionally she gets there on her own time and sometimes she poops! I love her face when she is so pleased with herself.

I think every family has a child like that to 'teach' the mom! My kids used diaper rash cream instead of lotion to slather on themselves! Oh the joys of motherhood, what doesn't kill us makes us stronger....right?!

lol- so true. :) We just stock up on magic erasers and paper towels and continue to pray for patience. :) Great photos, Megan.

How fortunate that she is so darn cute! Yes, children come to teach us good life lessons. You are doing great. Just the fact that you can take pics of it says a lot.
