Janae invited me on an all-girls river trip for the weekend. I got my friend April to go with me too.
I think I went to heaven for a little while. I have a hard time leaving my kids. With Hadley it's been a handful of days that I've been apart from her and with Lainey not a one. But, I think it is a good thing to get away for a bit and not be a mother and recharge without having to make sure anyone else is o.k. Maybe as my family grows it won't be as difficult. Or maybe it will never be easy to leave until they are out of the house. It was a short weekend trip up to ride down the snake river.
I really was in heaven.

We even had shirts that said, "Girls gone into the Wild." We definitely had some questioning looks from the rangers.

Proud of you my Megan! That is so good to get away at times. I know how hard it is to detatch, but good for mom and kids also. Even good for Dad to have some alone time with the kids! Do it again!
