It's Potty Time!

O.K., so I know the baby is only 5 or 6 weeks away from arrival, but a couple of weeks ago we decided Hads was ready for the big step. She had shown interest just before she turned two. We had attempted a few times, but gave up because it is easier having her in diapers! A few months later we decided to do it full force. It was one long week of constantly cleaning and changing pee-pee undies and shorts. Exactly one week later she woke up and said "I have to go pee-pee." Wonderful words, aren't they? Of course we still have accidents, and I still have to constantly take her to the bathroom, but we are well on our way. Things that worked for us: Treats, treats and more treats. Hadley responds well to sugar. We tried washing her bum off with the shower head so she would know that when she had an accident, it was going to be uncomfortable afterwards. But all she said was, "Oooh, that feels goood!"

I am so happy for you! It will make this new baby much more affordable!! I am jealous though. Can you come train my boys?

Oh Hadley! The girls and I were enjoying your blog when Lauren and Aubrey chimed in together, "We have that shirt too!" Good Ol' Grandma Shelley! Good luck on the PT, she'll be there before you know it (girls are way easier than boys!)... Love Angie

That is so cute! I still can't believe Hadley is a little girl and not a baby anymore. I guess I'm stuck in the past!
